Azaleas by Rubicce

In this video, the well-known South American clay artist Jorge Rubicce shows us his methods for creating realistic Azaleas using cold porcelain. If you don't understand the language, just mute the video and follow along visually as he demonstrates each step for building the flowers and coloring with Petal Dust (or something similar).

'Petal Dust' is a food-safe cake dusting powder with a matte finish and is usually applied to fondant and gumpaste flowers but can also be used with cold porcelain.  Many other powdered colorant products can be used with cold porcelain such as the Blending Chalk used in paper crafts and scrapbooking and powder cosmetics.

Remember! Air-dry clay and gumpaste techniques are almost the same
and tutorials can work for both!
